What will happen if they outlaw knives...will we have to resort to strangling people with our bare hands? How crude! We need to encourage more humane murdering. This law to taking us back to the stone age -- after all, why do you think they call it that?

Dear Tom,

It's very brave to state one's opinion, and you have shown some real bravery here. No matter how correct some opinions are, your reasoned defense of humane murder methods is certain to put you into a stock-pot-load of controversy. I won't weigh in here- my job is to let people make up their own minds.

Very interesting observation about murder in the stone age. It brings to mind that age-old stone-age weapons debate- do hands kill people, or do people kill people?

Carry on!
